Community Rock Climbing Program

Dana Hall School's rock climbing program takes its students to new heights.
Intermediate climbing is open to participants who already have rock climbing experience. Students who are new to climbing should register for the Gumbys course. All climbers need to be 8 years old or older to participate.

CLASSES

Gumbys One

Class capped at 10 students.
  • Wednesdays: 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Eight classes total: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7
  • $240
  • No blackout dates for Gumbys One
  • No climbing experience needed

Gumbys Two

Class capped at 10 students.
  • Fridays: 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Six classes total: 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/23, 3/2
  • $180
  • Blackout dates: 2/16, 3/9
  • No climbing experience needed

Intermediate Climbing One

Class capped at 14 students.
  • Wednesdays: 4-5:30 p.m.
  • Eight classes total: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7

OPEN GYM

We are pleased to announce an open gym session on Mondays. All Dana Hall climbers are welcome to show up and climb, but there will be no formal instruction or belay services available. Belay training and check-off will be available on a limited basis. Open gym is available to all current climbing class students as well as Dana Hall students and staff for free; community members who are not enrolled in a class will be charged $25/month, payable in three-month increments.

Open Gym

  • Mondays: 3:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Six sessions prior to Spring schedule switch: 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/26, 3/5
  • $25/month or free to climbing class students and Dana Hall affiliates
  • Blackout dates: 1/15, 2/19
  • Open to all ages; Kids younger than 8 years old will have to bring their own harnesses
