Honorable Marjorie Jacobs Yashar '58 was the first woman judge appointed to the Administrative Adjudication Court.
Honorable Marjorie Jacobs Yashar '58 attended Wellesley College and Boston University School of Law after graduating from Dana Hall. In 1985, Yashar was the first woman judge appointed to the Administrative Adjudication Court. Yashar's feelings of public duty pushed her to explore ways to improve the traffic court system, and she was awarded the Common Cause of Rhode Island's Public Service Achievement Award and named a "civic hero" by the Providence Journal for her efforts. Yashar retired as a judge in 2005.

Yashar received Dana Hall's Distinguished Alumna Award in 1999.
