Success in the Stables

Dana Hall’s Interscholastic Equestrian Team held its first home show of the year on Saturday, Nov. 12. The Upper School team won and is now qualified for regional semi-finals, and the Middle School team placed third. J. Hayre-Perez ’17 won the Golden Horseshoe Award for sportsmanship.
 
L. Earley ’19: 2nd over the jumps and 1st on the flat in the Open Division
B. Eldridge ’19: 4th over the jumps and 2nd on the flat in the Open Division
J. Stento ’17: 3rd over the jumps and 6th on the flat in the Open Division
C. Wahlberg ’18: 2nd over the jumps in the Intermediate Division and 3rd on the flat in the Open Division
G. Thames ’20: 3rd over fences in Intermediate
M. Decker ’17: 6th over the jumps and 2nd on the flat in Intermediate
M. Rippert ’17: 3rd on the flat in Intermediate
M. Wirkala ’19: 2nd over the jumps and 2nd on the flat in the Novice Division
E. Carney ’20: 3rd over the jumps and 6th on the flat in Novice
A. Rapp ’21: 4th over the jumps and 3rd on the flat in Novice
B. Grayken ’23: 6th over the jumps and 5th on the flat in Novice
A. Houston ’21: 6th on the flat in Novice
S. Desai ’19: 1st on the flat in the JV Beginner Division
J. Hayre-Perez ’17: 3rd on the flat in JV Beginner
K. Panjawi ’20: 5th on the flat in JV Beginner
S. Guadalupe ’22: 4th on the flat in MS Beginner
 
Not only did the team do well at its first home show, but it has had a run of success throughout the fall.
 
Massachusetts Horsemen’s Council (MHC) Days of Champions
L. Earley ’19: 9th in the Junior Medal Finals
G. Thames ’20: 6th in the 12–14 Open Equitation
 
Pennsylvania National Horse Show
A. Revers ’18: Moved from 13th to 4th in the second round of the final, then ended up Reserve Champion; On MTM Hands Down, top ribbons in the Large Junior Hunters 15 and Under; On Kingpin, winner in the Small Junior Hunters 15 and Under as well as second
C. Ellis ’20: Went first her first time competing in the USEF Pessoa Hunt Seat Medal finals and showed everyone the way with a very respectable round
S. Fields ’20: Got top ribbons in the Large Low Junior Hunters
 
New England Equitation Championships
A. Revers ’18: 3rd in the Open Equitation
H. Doherty ’18: 8th in the Open Equitation
C. Ellis ’20: 7th in the Open Equitation
S. Fields ’20: 8th in the Junior Open Equitation
Revers, Doherty, Ellis and Fields all qualified for Challenge of the States 
 
Washington International Horse Show
C. Ellis ’20: 4th in the $10,000 WIHS Children’s Jumper Final
A. Revers ’18: On MTM Hands Down, Champions of the Younger Large Junior Hunters; On Kingpin, 2x winners in the Younger Small Junior Hunters
 
Kentucky National Horse Show
A. Revers ’18: Qualified for the prestigious ASPCA Maclay Finals; On Kingpin, Champion 15 and Under Small Junior Hunters; On MTM Hands Down top ribbons in the Large Junior Hunters
S. Fields ’20: Reserve Champion 3'3" Junior Hunters
