Dana Equestrians Travel to Florida to Compete


This winter
, R. Chandley ’21, G. Field ’21, G. Thames ’20 and M. Rippert ’17 are competing in the 2018 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. At the festival, children, juniors, adult amateurs and professional equestrians from around the globe compete in 70 divisions. The Dana participants’ four horses traveled down to Florida in early February 2018 where they remain until the end of March. Dana Hall’s Head Trainer Greg Best met the horses and equestrians  in Florida for the five weeks of competition.

2018 Festival highlights include:

R. Chandley ’21 earned a 7th place ribbon in the high children's jumper classic during week 8 on her horse Zento.

G. Thames ’20 was honored as champion during week 9 in modified children's jumper on her horse Soprano. In week 10, Thames placed second in a low junior jumper class.

M. Rippert ’17 was a top ribbon winner in the modified adult hunters, including a 3rd place win during week 9, on her horse Don Gavi.
