Dana Hall’s winter athletic teams wrapped up their seasons this month.
In early March, the Upper SchoolEquestrian Team placed 1st at the IEA Region Finals in Oxford, Mass. The team riders were G. Thames ’20, A. Houston ’21, L. McHugh ’21 and L. Mitchell ’21. The team now moves onto the Zone 1 Finals later in the month.
Varsity Swimming and Diving ended its season with an overall record of 6–5 and an EIL record of 3–3, coming in 2nd in the EIL. The team took 2nd place in the EIL Tournament and came in 5th place at New England Division 2. At the diving championships, L. Flenniken ’19 finished in 5th place. Additionally, Head Coach Alden Derr was named EIL Coach of the Year.
Most Valuable Swimmer: E. Bacon ’23
Rookie of the Year: K. Balsam ’22
Most Improved Swimmer: Z. Yuen ’21
The Varsity Squash team finished the year with a 4–9 record. In the EIL, they came in 2nd with a record of 2–3. The team placed 11th at the New England Squash Tournament B.
EIL All League: E. Glass ’21
EIL Honorable Mention: J. McAvinn ’19 and M. Brown ’19
Most Valuable Players: V. Kuntz ’19 and E. Glass ’21
Most Improved Player: A. Houston ’21
Varsity Fencing had an overall record of 10–2 this season. They took 5th place at the Mass State Championships.
Rookie of the Year: Y. Wang ’25
Most Improved Player: S. Bililies ’23
Most Valuable Player: S. Tribush ’21
The Varsity Basketball team ended the year 2–16 with a 2–11 record in the EIL, coming in 8th place.

NEPSAC All Star: Seidner
Most Valuable Player: C. McCarron ’20
Leadership Award: A. Iwuh ’19
Coaches’ Awards: L. Copeland ’20 and M. Young ’21
Ice Hockey went 4–6 this season and 3–3 in the EIL.
