Family Weekend

Please join the Dana Hall community for Family Weekend 2019 on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26. This festive weekend is a wonderful opportunity to meet faculty, staff, other parents and your daughter's classmates. We look forward to welcoming you to campus!

There is no charge to attend Family Weekend.

    PARKING

    Please note that parking on Wayside Field (abutting Grove Street) is recommended for families who plan to leave campus around  4 p.m.  on Friday and  11 a.m.  on Saturday. The course for the Cross Country runs through campus and parking in this location will allow you to exit campus in a timely manner.

    REGISTRATION ON FRIDAY

    Registration for all families will be held in the Student Center beginning at 7:15 a.m. At registration, you will receive your daughter’s class schedule and a packet of pertinent information for the weekend.

    LATE ARRIVALS (AFTER 9 A.M.)

    Please pick up registration packets in the Middle School Lobby or Upper School Student Affairs Office. If you have a daughter in both Upper and Middle Schools, please go to the Middle School.

    PERFORMING ARTS PRESENTATIONS

    The Middle School and Upper School Performing Arts Presentations will both be held on Friday in Bardwell, but at different times: Middle School at 10:30-11:15 a.m. and Upper School at 1:45-2:45 p.m.

    LUNCH, CONVOCATION AND PEP RALLY

    Lunch, Convocation and Pep Rally for the entire community will be in the Shipley Center Gym beginning at 11:15 a.m. Seating is open. Class signage will designate areas for those wishing to sit with their respective classes.

    THE PARENTS' ASSOCIATION HOSPITALITY TENT

    Free time? The Hospitality Tent sponsored by the Parents’ Association is located on the terrace of the Erisman Student Center. The Hospitality Tent will offer weekend information, volunteer sign-ups, merchandise sales (Dragons’ Den), spirit activities and opportunities to socialize.

    HOMECOMING

    Show your Dana spirit! Stop by the spirit activity table and then cheer on the Varsity games on Friday: Varsity Field Hockey on the new turf field and Varsity Soccer under the lights. On Saturday, don't miss the Middle School and JV games. Food trucks this year are Anzio's Brick Oven Pizza, Chicken and Rice Guys, and Zinneken's Waffle Truck. The "Adrenaline Rush" inflatable Obstacle Course will be set-up near Eastman Circle on Friday and Saturday.

    SATURDAY UPPER SCHOOL CLASS MEETINGS & CLASSES

    On Saturday, Upper School class meetings begin at 8:15 a.m. followed by classes from 9-10:55 a.m. Registration for guests who did not come on Friday will be in the Reception Area of the Classroom Building beginning at 8 a.m.

    DANA HALL SUSTAINABILITY

    Water Bottles
    In an effort to be more sustainable and to reduce the amount of waste generated at events, we encourage community members to bring their own water bottles from home. Water is available at various locations throughout campus for people to refill their bottles.
    Name Tags
    Please remember to bring your name tag! Parents and guardians of International students will receive name tags when they register on campus.
    Composting
    For meals outside of the Dining Hall, we will be composting our food scraps with Bootstrap Compost. Please take notice of signage and bins for disposing of food waste and recyclables.
